Kazan Int’l Film Festival to screen Iran ‘Bakhshi’

Iranian short documentary ‘Bakhshi’ is to vie at Kazan Int’l Festival of Muslim Cinema in Republic of Tatarstan.

Iranian short documentary ‘Bakhshi’ has been scheduled to vie at the Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Directed by Reza Gholami, the 29-minute film will go on screen at the 13th edition of the Russian festival.

Made in 2017, ‘Bakhshi’ is about a man who lives in northern parts of the country. The film tells the story of his hardships in the past and the challenges that he had to overcome.

The film is also researched, written, produced, filmed, sounded and edited by Gholami.

Born in 1976, Gholami holds an MA in painting and has made more than 10 short films and documentaries so far.

Launched in 2005, Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is being held in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The festival screens products which promote peaceful ideas, humanity and intercultural dialogue. This edition of the festival will screen films from 21 countries.

The motto of the festival is 'To the dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogue'.

The 13th edition of the festival is slated for September 5-11, 2017.
